Santé Chocolate is made following an antique 19th-century French recipe, preserved faithfully over time. Made with 50% cocoa and 50% sugar, with no added cocoa butter and no conching, it keeps a rustic texture and an intense flavour. Once considered a precious food, it was often enjoyed grated into a cup of hot milk — hence the name Santé, French for "health".

Storage Instructions

Store in a cool (16–18°C), dry place, away from strong odours. Dark chocolate keeps perfectly for 18–24 months. Any white bloom that may appear is natural and does not affect the taste.

THE ARTISAN PROCESS

Santé Chocolate is made using a traditional method, with no conching. Grinding cocoa and sugar together preserves the chocolate's original structure, giving it a pleasantly grainy texture and an authentic taste true to old-fashioned methods.
