the artisan process

The almonds are first coated with gum arabic and then worked in the traditional basins, where they rotate slowly while the artisan adds sugar a little at a time with a ladle. During the process, natural cinnamon and vanilla essences are added, giving the confetto its delicate aromatic notes.

Yes, we use only plant-based colourings extracted from flowers and plants. That's why the colours are soft and delicate, never bright or fluorescent like those made with synthetic dyes.

Why isn't the surface glossy like other confetti?

The matte look comes from the absence of glossing waxes and chemical additives. We use only natural gum arabic, which gives the characteristic irregular surface — a hallmark of artisan craftsmanship.
