The artisan process

The syrup, brought to the right concentration, is poured into the small cells of a starch tray and gently covered. As it rests, the sugar crystallises to form a thin shell holding a liquid, fragrant heart. The process ends with polishing, an old confectionery technique that gives the drops their characteristic shine, while preserving their delicacy and aromatic intensity.

Do rosolio drops contain alcohol?

Contrary to what the name suggests, rosolio drops don't contain alcohol. The term "rosolio" comes from our tradition of naming scented sugar syrups. Some flavours may be lightly scented with alcoholic essences, but the alcohol fully evaporates during processing, leaving the aroma and sweetness intact. This means our rosolio drops are safe and suitable even for children, perfect to enjoy at any time of day without worry.

How is the shell made so thin?

The drops are poured into starch cells that naturally absorb moisture, drying the surface and forming a thin, crisp shell, while the heart stays soft and liquid, ready to release its full aroma when bitten into.
